STREAMLINE YOUR BUSINESS WITH TECHNOLOGIES

Aug, 2016News

We have joined forces with Sinnotts Accountants, Gee Bees Media and Corangamite Shire to host an event as part of Victoria’s Small Business Festival.

The free event has been designed to help business owners drive their profitability with simple online tips and technologies. It will be held at Camperdown cafe Snout in the Trough from 7-9pm on Wednesday, August 24. Refreshments will be provided.

Fennell West director Shane West said he was looking forward to demonstrating how affordable technologies have saved his business valuable time and money.

“We’re really passionate about helping businesses capture their revenue and spending in real time so that their financial position is never unknown,” he said.

“It’s a powerful thing to know your actual cash position at any given point and these days technology has made it really quite easy to literally have that information in your pocket.

“We’ll talk about how to take the pain out of cashflow, but also our experience with more operational technologies such as document and file sharing and the efficiencies that some simple online systems have delivered us at Fennell West.”

Sinnotts Accountants director Aaron Sinnott said he would focus predominately on how cloud accounting was revolutionising bookkeeping.

“Time is precious when you’re running a business and cloud accounting software is now giving back hours and hours that people used to spend on arduous bookwork,” he said.

“From quarterly BAS statements, to running payroll, making superannuation payments and reconciling bank accounts – these things can now take less than five minutes each.”

Gee Bees Media director Glen Bernoth said he would demonstrate the importance of having a professional and tidy online presence that works as a marketing tool.

“Websites and social media can be great, but they can also be pretty useless. Google and Facebook are massive algorithms and understanding how they determine whether to promote your pages, profiles, posts and blogs is really important,” he said.

“I’ll also be talking about the importance of a verified Google My Business listing, along with other technologies that can raise your profile and help market your business.”

Although it is a free event, please book via the Facebook event page here or contact Sara Napier at Corangamite Shire Councilon 5593 7100 or email [email protected]
