FIVE MINUTES WITH … AMANDA FISHER

Amanda joined the Fennell West team four years ago and is invaluable in her role as Operations Manager. Here she shares some insight into what she enjoys doing outside the office, including her favourite holiday destination, footy team and the James Bond-inspired choice of a famous person she would like to meet.

What is your role at Fennell West and what three words would you use to describe it?

Operations Manager. Challenging, eventful, rewarding.

What is your favourite thing about working at Fennell West?

My colleagues and the office atmosphere.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

Something involving food, particularly wine and cheese.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I used to always want to learn to play the drums.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet and why?

Ian Fleming; I’d love to meet the creator of James Bond.

What’s your favourite book, movie and song?

Book: Any books by Jack Higgins
Movie: The Sandlot
Song: Into the Mystic by Van Morrison

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

I can’t really think of anything crazy that I’ve done.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Reality TV – I love Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

What’s your preferred travel destination and why?

Darwin. I really love the warmer weather and relaxed environment.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Spend time with my family and catch up with friends.
My daughter is a mad Geelong fan, so my favourite thing at the moment would be going to the footy with her.

What’s your earliest childhood memory?

Picking out a toy dog for my new baby sister when I was two years old.

What’s the greatest bit of advice a parent or mentor has given you?

You need to watch Game of Thrones. Advice from my colleague, Matt Rea.
